At Grupo Lampa, we continue to grow with a clear focus on the circular economy and the country’s sustainable development.
A few months ago, we inaugurated our new facility in Copiapó, strengthening our operations network in northern Chile, where we also operate a yard in Antofagasta.
This new facility allows us to be closer to our mining-sector suppliers and to streamline the reception, purchasing, processing, and commercialization of ferrous scrap, under the same safety, quality, and efficiency standards applied at our main facilities, including our Colina plant in Santiago.
With the Copiapó yard, Grupo Lampa reinforces its territorial presence and expands service coverage to small, medium, and large suppliers in the region, enabling them to deliver material in a safer, faster, and more accessible way.
As in all our facilities, rigorous inspection and quality control processes are conducted to ensure that processed scrap meets all technical and environmental requirements, contributing to the transformation of waste into valuable resources reintroduced into the production cycle.
The opening of this second yard in northern Chile reaffirms our commitment to responsible growth and to fostering a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable industry.
